In the months before departure, AFSers have the opportunity to participate in various preparatory activities.
For participants under 18, these include an online Student Learning Journey, which is an interactive course that brings AFSers from around the world together to learn how to develop essential global skills, maximizing the outcomes of the AFS learning experience. You and your parents will also have an online orientation with AFS Wales before you travel, to help you feel prepared for your trip.
For participants over 18, these include a blended learning programme called Global Up Abroad, which helps to develop essential global skills, maximizing the outcomes of the AFS learning experience. As part of this, you will have an online discussion session with AFS Wales before you travel.
AFS Wales will arrange your international travel. You will need to arrange your own travel to the airport. Once in Argentina, you’ll be met by AFS staff and volunteers, who will support you throughout your visit.
