Make an invaluable contribution to the community of a small town by teaching a language and or sports in a school where you will feel like home and will learn a lot from yourself as well.

Work with the foundation towards giving children in La Romana good education and upbringing. Most of the children in the project come from families with little resources and invaluable situations, and the foundation seeks to offer a solid and professional education to enable their students to develop in a good environment and facilitate their access to the labor market and continue their education in higher education.

Possible tasks for you are:

  • assist teachers in language classes
  • establish conversational groups in the target language to improve the overall level of comprehension and oral expression (English, French or German)
  • develop learning programs adapted to the students level of learning
  • teach autonomously (if the volunteer wishes)
  • create a recycling project
  • develop a sewing program

You will take part in an arrival orientation, a mid stay orientation and an end of stay camp. In these camps, important subjects will be discussed, such as the participant’s relationship and development within the host family and project.
