Help homeless and neglected girls have a better quality of life by volunteering at a centre in Bonao.

Founded in 1989 and located in Bonao, north-west of Santo Domingo, the institution’s mission is to provide education and housing to girls who have been abused, neglected, or are homeless.   During the week the girls attend school and on the weekends they participate in various activities.  You will support the girls by teaching outdoors activities such as soccer, providing medical assistance when needed, or assist staff with necessary therapy.   Additional activities may include water management or tending gardens.

You will be guided and supported by the staff while taking part in orientations upon arrival, during mid-stay, and at the end of your stay.  During these orientations, you’ll learn about the importance of relationship-building with your host family and local community.
