The development of children in a safe environment could be your next personal project the reward will be priceless.

The organization was established in June 2001, with the help of the community, local volunteers, the Embassy of Japan and the Dominican Institute of Social Security.  The objective of the institution is to offer a place where children between 0 and 5 years can develop in a safe environment. This is done by giving individual care to each one of the children, integrating their parents into the program and linking the community to the children’s upbringing. Parts of the program are also medical and psychological supervision and support, initial education and nutrition for the children.

You can take part in different types of work, such as teacher’s assistant, nurse’s assistant, developing new projects, helping in all kinds of work with the children. The children always need help with bathing, feeding, playing, etc.

You will work with direct supervision and lead from the permanent staff, directing, guiding and reviewing all work regularly over the projects implementation. Furthermore you will take part in an arrival orientation, a mid stay orientation and an end of stay camp. In these camps, important subjects like the participant’s relationship and development with the host family, project and community will be discussed.
